Shoppers will no longer be stuck for gift items this year as the Top 50 best buys of the year include a range of gifts to suit all tastes.
The study of over 2,700 products found that the popular Apple iPad 2 is the best gift in the audiovisual category. The tablet will set shoppers back £499.
All of the items on the list were subject to a list of strict criteria.
This included the goods which were the most efficient, the best value for money, the least likely to have manufacturing problems and the most likely to do the job properly.
For those looking to replace a cooker or buy a new baby cot, the list has highlighted the best devices for the job. The list also included a £2,500, 55 inch Samsung TV, a free standing Zanussi cooker and £550 pushchair.
However, purchasing all of these top of the range products could see your wallet take a serious hit as buying every item on the list would cost almost £19,500!
Buying expensive gifts for Christmas, or simply replacing your washing machine, could increase the value of the items in your home.
