Q.Do I need Home Emergency Cover?

A. If you’re a home owner, it’s likely that’ll you’ll want to add Home Emergency Cover onto your policy. Q.What’s classed as a Home Emergency?

A. A Home Emergency a sudden or unforeseen incident which, if it’s not dealt with quickly, would result in further damage or that makes your home unsafe or unsecure.

For example, a burst pipe would be considered a Home Emergency because if it was left unfixed it would quickly cause further damage. However, a leaky gutter would not be classed as an emergency because you have time to fix it before it causes any damage.

Q.How many emergency claims can I make in a year?

A. Unlimited. Unlike other providers, our Home Emergency Cover offers unlimited call outs within the policy limits.

There are no excesses to pay with our Home Emergency Cover, and any claims won’t in be included on your Home Insurance renewal.

Q.Q. What am I not covered for?

A. Home Emergency cover won’t cover you if the situation isn’t considered an ‘emergency’. For example if your toilet isn’t working properly, but you have another toilet that’s working fine. How to make a claim:

  • Try to minimise the damage wherever possible first. For example, if you have a burst pipe, turn off the water at the mains to minimise that water damage.

    Never put yourself or your family in any unnecessary danger, particularly where electrics are concerned. If in doubt, get out!
